CSSVista 0.15 launched 24 April
CSSVista is a free Windows tool which we first released in November 2005. It lets you edit your CSS code live in both Internet Explorer and Firefox simultaneously, and we're very excited to say that we've just released a long-awaited update which addresses a multitude of feature requests and bugs.
Most exciting for me, as a web designer myself, is the newly-added code completion and element outlining. It's fantastically useful to be able to see all block-level elements outlined side-by-side in both IE and Firefox. CSSVista 0.15 also adds support for Internet Explorer 7 (if you have it installed).

This seems to be a great app. After seeing the live preview built into CSSEdit on Macs, I had to do some searching to see if there was anything similar on Windows. I really love the syntax highlighting and the split preview.
A couple suggestions...
1) The code folding plus/minus would look a little better if it were hidden by default and showed up only when your cursor is on that line.
2) Line numbers would be great.
3) Font preference and color schemes.
4) This one is probably the most important: The ability to save the .CSS documents! Maybe I'm just missing this, but shouldn't we be able to save the work we do?
One other note, I saw a feature request regarding HTML editing support. I think maybe even adding button to open with a preferred HTML editor would be great. Having this as a dedicated CSS editor is perfectly fine with me.

One other suggestion, how about opening a local stylesheet to apply to the current page that is being previewed?

Hello Chad, and thanks for the feedback. I've passed your feature suggestions on to Matt, our lead developer.
Regarding the saving of files, the idea is that you copy and paste the CSS code out of CSSVista in order to save. I think this could seem like an odd workflow, but we based it around the Web Developer toolbar for Firefox. Likewise if you'd like to apply a local stylesheet you'd need to open it in your editor of choice, then copy and paste it into the CSS editor in CSSVista.
In future we'd like to add open/save functionality right into our application.

Oh, and one more thing, the Firefox window doesn't refresh automatically when editing local files.

Awsome, Looks and works great...., This has a ton of potential... I'm not so sure if you guys quite understand what you have here. Seems this should be your primary commercial product...

Awesome tool, I was in shock the first time I oppened it, tons of potential. The only shortfall this tool has is that you cannot mouseover the rendered page and identify page elements. When you have a very complex CSS layout its near impossible to edit with this tool since you cant identify the elements you intend on editing, so I end up wasting time either by switching over to an editor that allows for element identification, or guessing which element im trying to specify.
Cant wait for future releases! I would gladly pay, the internet desperatly needs a tool that allows you to edit both FF and IE at once (at least until IE learns to play nice).
