Notes and thoughts from the Litmus team.

I just came across CSSFly via Webdesign Archive's list of 5 free CSS editors (which includes our own CSSVista tool).

CSSFly lets you edit CSS and HTML code live in your browser. It's client-side, so it only works for browsers you have installed locally, but nonetheless could be handy. They don't list their official browser support on the site, so I did some testing. It seems to work well across almost all browsers (including Explorer 5.5 and upwards, Opera 7.5+ and Netscape 7.2+), but with the notable exception of Safari.

Try it for yourself now, by editing the SiteVista web site!

Comments

This tool is absolutely perfect and saved me hours within my first session. I will highly recommend it to our CSS authors. Thanks a lot! I was looking for live CSS editing with Internet Exolorer 6 and 7 for a long time.
