BrowserCam, another popular web-based site testing service, has just been acquired by Gomez Inc., an enterprise web site testing company. Apparently BrowserCam "will be marketed as part of the Gomez ExperienceFirst platform of solutions for enterprise customers," according to the press release (PDF).
From what I can tell, the aim is to get more exposure for this ExperienceFirst platform amongst web designers who wouldn't otherwise have come across it. ExperienceFirst seems to be a large-scale network and performance monitoring tool.
This enterprise space is not a market which overlaps with ours, but it will be interesting to watch what they do with BrowserCam. We wish them the best of luck!
